HUL Appoints BP Biddappa to Lead HR and Sustainability Efforts

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has made a significant leadership change, appointing BP Biddappa as the new Executive Director of Human Resources and Chief People, Transformation, and Sustainability Officer for South Asia. With over three decades of experience within Unilever, Biddappa brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, poised to lead the people agenda and drive transformation initiatives across the region.

Biddappa succeeds Anuradha Razdan, who is transitioning to a global role as Chief Reward & Organization Development Officer for Unilever, effective June 1. Razdan, who has served as the Executive Director of HR at HUL and the CHRO for South Asia for the past five years, has been instrumental in shaping the company’s human resources strategy.

Having commenced his career with a stint in HUL’s factory, Biddappa has held various leadership roles within Unilever, spanning leadership development to business partnering across diverse geographies including Maghreb, Bangladesh, and India. His extensive experience positions him well to drive HUL’s transformation agenda and sustainability initiatives.

Rohit Jawa, CEO and Managing Director of HUL, expressed enthusiasm for Biddappa’s appointment, citing his profound understanding of transformation and organizational development. Jawa welcomed Biddappa back to India and expressed confidence in his ability to lead HUL forward on its future-fit agenda.
